The hunt for the leading lady for the mega project Jogaiah narrows down to the final three as director Prem heads towards Mumbai to take the final call...

Now, it's all down to the three lovely ladies from B-town. Each of them has liked the script of Jogaiah and Prem, the director, is off to Mumbai today to see which of the three will be able to match lead actor Shivarajkumar's dates. The three actors, Rani Mukerji, Ameesha Patel and Kangna Ranaut, have given the director appointments to negotiate the schedule and remuneration.

Confirming the news to After Hrs, he says, "I know everyone wants to know who will be Shivanna's 100th heroine. I am going to Mumbai to finalise just that. I am meeting all the three actors and should be announcing the final name shortly."

In fact, Jogaiah has been under speculation for a long time, ever since its starry launch in January. While Prem Productions never spoke about its preferences as far as the leading lady was concerned, they were quite sure of finding someone from Bollywood.

Even Jennifer Kotwal, who was the heroine of Jogi, the prequel of Jogaiah, has been quite vehement about her interest in this project. She's expressed in many interviews that she wanted to be part of this film, as Jogi was her launchpad into Sandalwood. But, it appears that the team has not spoken to her about the same.

"The hunt has been quite long-drawn. Many names have cropped up in the process. Right from Priyanka Chopra to Vidya Balan to even Preity Zinta, the names of heroines have been discussed many times. But, Prem never confirmed any one and these were all speculations of the media," says a source, who's working closely with the project.

Incidentally, Ameesha, Kangna and Rani have been part of the South Indian film industry in some form or the other. As for Jogaiah, since Ameesha and Rani seem to be lesser involved in projects at the present moment, they might be on top of the director's mind. However, Kangna has been always vocal about acting sans language barriers as well and has acted in more South Indian projects than the other two. We just have wait and watch who comes out a winner.
