Estranged siblings Ameesha Patel and brother Ashmit have sorted out their differences. They were spotted watching a film together

This is perhaps a scene straight out of a Hindi film, where a sister and brother patch up on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The two estranged siblings, Ameesha Patel and her brother Ashmit, who were not on talking terms for more than five years, have now finally sorted out their differences and patched up.

Incidentally, on the eve of Raksha Bandhan (Tuesday night) the sister-brother duo was seen watching Love Aaj Kal at PVR Juhu. Apparently, Ameesha even tied a rakhi to Ashmit after five years.

Our source who spotted them on Tuesday night at the theatre said, “Both Ameesha and Ashmit had come to see the night show. They were perfectly comfortable with each other and it did not seem like they had any problems. It’s nice to see them together especially when Raksha Bandhan is around the corner.”

According to another source Ameesha and Ashmit met at a social event and had been in contact with each other ever since. Ashmit is extremely attached to his sister and even tried to reconcile with her in the past.

Ameesha said, “It’s a personal matter and I do not wish to discuss it.” But she did add, “Yes, I went to PVR on Tuesday night to see the posters of Ashmit’s new film Toss.”

Meanwhile Ashmit said, “All I can say is that positive things are happening to me, both, personally and professionally. My film Toss is releasing by the end of the month. However, on the personal front, I do not want to discuss anything right now.”
