
For actor Amisha Patel, number of films doesn’t matter now, quality work is what she’s aiming at
She debuted with the hugely hit Kaho Na Payar Hai,she won the Filmfare Special Performance Award for her role in the blockbuster Gadar and she also tasted failures during a phase when her films tanked at the box office, but today, actor Amisha Patel is in a more comfortable position, she believes. She was in Ahmedabad on Tuesday to launch the body sculpting clinic Insta Sculpt.
Since there were reports of her taking a plunge into politics in Rajkot in the forthcoming polls, she was asked about her decision and she tried to close it with the one liner: "I'm here for Insta Sculpt, so let's talk about it." But, on much insistence, she made it clear that she was neither interested in contesting, nor campaigning. Instead, she is more interested in art, beauty and education.
Never matter, whether politics happens or not to this economics gold medallist, but a venture — merging the field of art and business is certainly listed in her future plans.
So, it's all work and no marriage — for the moment, of course! The damsel informs that among her forthcoming releases are Chatur Singh Two Star,an action comedy, where she is paired opposite Sanjay Dutt and Neeraj Vora directed Run Bhola Run,where she shares screen space with Govinda and Tusshar Kapoor.
Quiz her on whether she is looking forward to some particular kind of roles at this point of her career, and she elaborates, "During my initial five years in Bollywood, I did all kinds of films and slowly realised my self. Now, I have reached a point when I really want to choose roles that make me happy. I want to do a handful of films in a year, may be one or two, but good films.” She would love to do a Mughal-e-Azam like film too, for she has a penchant for period films in particular.
