Ameesha's ex-factor scare

Mumbai: On Sunday night, a burkha-clad Ameesha Patel stepped into PVR Juhu to watch ex-boyfriend Vikram Bhatt's latest release, 1920.

Accompanied by two friends, the actress watched the film with interest. After it ended, she gave it a standing ovation.

Darr ke aagey...

A source reveals, "She looked pretty scared in the second half and kept covering her eyes, and grabbing her friend's arm every now and then. After the film got over, she stood up and clapped, much to the amusement of the crowd."

When contacted, a surprised Ameesha confirms seeing 1920, "I'm really happy that Vikram is back and has made such a fabulous film." She adds that she loved the film even though it was scary, "The second half and the climax totally freaked me out. The special effects and camera work is on par with Hollywood films. The Hanuman Chalisa reading scene in the end gave me goose bumps. After that day, I have started carrying the Hanuman Chalisa with me." Patel adds that she reads it whenever she feels restless.

Congratulations

When asked if she thinks Vikram was best suited to the horror genre, Patel says, "He's good with sexual thrillers, but he's also delivered with a comedy like Awara Paagal Deewana. I think that with 1920, he's put his everything into it and delivered a winner." The actress reveals that after seeing the film, she called Vikram, "I spoke to him after watching the film and congratulated him. We discussed a few scenes. He's someone who can even make even a block of wood act, and he's managed to get some amazing performances from the two newcomers."
