The city’s crème-de-crème, all dressed to the hilt, headed for one destination this Friday night- Seagram's Blenders Pride party tour 2008, at hotel Mountview. As Bollywood’s ‘newfound’ hottie Amisha Patel, Style Guru Rocky S, creative and innovative designer Manav Gangwani, hosted this swish bash, the party was a stopover at Chandigarh, which is the fourth city in India's first and longest party tour that started grooving on August 20 from Delhi. As the night kicked off with a fashion show, showcasing the two designers’ creations in separate rounds, it turned memorable as Amisha, looking ravishing in a sunny yellow outfit, invited a roaring applause from the audience as the showstopper.
The party that followed the show redefines the concept of partying by continuing one long party across eight cities. Amidst free flowing liquor and piping hot snacks, celebrity DJ and model Megha Cawale, post her return from Ibiza, Spain, cast a spell on the crowds.
Exuding oomph, the models sashayed down in flowing, sensuous gowns, in a rejoinder to the retro era, designed by Manav Gangwani. The magic continued as ‘Cocktail’ dresses, bewitching silhouettes in black, the signature style of Rocky S, took over the ramp.
Bikram Basu, vice president- marketing, Pernod Ricard India, aptly said, “Unravel this unique Blenders Pride Party. It’s trendy fashion, edgy music and super energy. You deserve to chill insane.”
After leaving the city residents hungering for more, the party is now headed for another four cities and reaches the shore of Mumbai on September 9.
