Amisha Patel dazzled all with a stunning performance at the Airtel Salaam-e-Comedy Awards held recently. Dancing to Lazy Lamhe and other foot tapping numbers, she had the audiences hooked, including beau Kanav Puri, who turned up to support Amisha. He wasn’t disappointed as she blew out kisses at him throughout her performance.

Govinda may not have had anyone blowing kisses at him but he surely earned the praise of his organizers with his professionalism. One would be forgiven for thinking that ‘a professional Govinda’ is a misnomer but that’s exactly what the comeback star was at the Awards ceremony. He came in right on time, delivered a knockout performance and stayed till the very end. And when it was pack up time, he declared his dissatisfaction with his performance and did an encore for the television telecast. Shall we say the star is reborn?

Unfortunately, very little praise can be lavished on Ranvir Sheorey, whose unwillingness to adjust his schedule nearly cost the organizers dear. Since the show was running late, Ranvir’s act, which also featured Cyrus Broacha, Cyrus Sahukar and Suresh Menon, had to be shot after the show. However, a miffed Ranvir walked off the venue to catch his flight leaving the pleading organizers in a fix. Finally, the act went on without him and people who have seen the rushes can’t stop raving about it. It seems Ranvir was anything but missed.
