Mumbai: When Ameesha Patel attended a show at the Fashion Week with new love Kanav Puri in March, it made headlines across the country. Although Amisha has talked about being in love with her London-based businessman, Kanav has kept away from the limelight. Now the dimpled and dapper young man has broken his silence in OK! magazine. Here are excerpts of the exclusive, first-ever interview of Ameesha and beau. Read on as the couple talk about their love story, peppered with limited-edition gifts, exotic vacations, and trips to Paris in his yellow Ferrari.

Okay! Ameesha, have you been in Kanav's yellow Ferrari?

Ameesha: Been?! I've had to model in front of it too! When I went to see him in London, he drove me to Paris on our first weekend there. All along, he kept telling me, "Condense your luggage!" You know how I am… I need to carry my separate clothes for lunch and dinner, my matching accessories, my stuff. And all he wanted to do was ensure we had one bag that could fit into the boot of his damn car! So both of us had to share one small bag for the entire weekend, which was the size of the bag I usually carry my toiletries in! I was like, "You cannot take your girlfriend to the most romantic city in the world, on her first ever vacation with you, and have her looking like trash!" I couldn't carry half my things… that's how much he loves his Ferrari.

Kanav: We could only take a suit carrier…

Ameesha: So you can imagine both of us with that for luggage. I would never be insecure about another woman with him, but I'm insecure about that car — he's so madly in love with it! He's even made me take pictures of it from every conceivable angle. When I moved into my new apartment and was putting up pictures — I have photos of my family and friends — he says, "Baby, put up a picture of my Ferrari!"

Kanav: Hey, the Ferrari is family too!
