Handle with care A source from the film adds, “Rani has watched Mary Poppins. She’s aware that her character is based on the film. In fact, in the original film Mary Poppins is shown wearing one main ensemble through out the movie. But the dress is very fragile and is giving a lot of heartburn to the actress.”
Fairyland The outfit made by Manish Malhotra for Rani is exquisite and delicate. Rani has been having a tough time managing the ensemble. Adds an insider, “It’s a pristine-looking dress, the kind you see fairies wear in storybooks.
Rani is having a tough time keeping the dress in ship-shape over the long hours of shooting. Even though there are copies of the same outfit, director Kunal Kohli wants her to stick to one outfit. This is because it is a very elaborate ensemble and it takes a long time for the actress to get ready, which causes delays in the shooting.”
The film will also have special effects, those involving Rani and her magical charms she uses with the kids.
